These device CALs include 5 concurrent connections into your Terminal Server. We include instructions on how to activate Terminal Service roles and also how to activate your licenses.
These CALs can be moved to another server if you have a hardware failure or upgrade your server. The 5 device CALs apply to unique devices that need to access their own terminal session, no matter which user is on that device. Device CALs are preferred if you have multiple employees accessing a workstation such as a POS or warehouse computer throughout the day and only want to license the individual machine instead of every user in the office.
